I am amazed at the greatness of the creativity God pours into us – such as is done repeatedly through Bob Dylan. Recently I was listening to his collection of gospel songs and this one REALLY hit me in the heart. I have heard it 100 times or more. I don’t know what July 4, 1776 felt like, but I think
I had a taste of it over thirty years ago on July 4,
1975. I was part of a welcoming committee for refugees
at the Minneapolis airport. The steps that led to our
being there still amaze me.
